You’re engaged and on cloud 9. You’re planning your dream wedding, big or small, and getting a bit overwhelmed by the ever-growing to-do lists. You selected your wedding gown and know exactly what you are wearing to walk down the aisle. But what about all of the other bridal events no one tells you about? With an engagement and forthcoming wedding, come all of the fun festivities leading up to it. I’m talking about the bridal shower, bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner, and if you are doing things in true bridal style you must wear the color to fit your new role. Yes, I’m talking white. As a 2021 bride I’ve been shopping non-stop the last few months looking for the perfect outfits to wear to these events and wanted to share some of my favorites.

Let’s start with the most fun of them all, the bachelorette party. I am crossing my fingers that me and my bridesmaids get to travel somewhere warm and with a beach for my bachelorette party, so I have been shopping for swimwear non-stop. One of my favorite places to get all of my beach pieces, white or not, is Aerie and this season they have some great white selections. Whether you’re a one-piece, bikini or high-waisted type of girl they have something for everyone. And let’s not forget the holy grail of them all, Amazon, where you can find just about anything and bridal swimwear is no exception. This one-piece and bikini have great prices which is perfect for something that is only going to get a few wears. Not to mention they are perfect for that Instagram worthy picture every bride wants. And of course bachelorette parties come with a day (or night) on the town. I love a good dressed up denim look, and corsets are a trend that I have been dying to try. House of CB is great for night out outfits and has a huge range of colors and sizes for every bride.

Now it’s time for all of the most important ladies in your life to shower you with love (and gifts) before you tie the knot. Whether you are having a casual backyard shower or a more formal one there is a dress out there for you. My mom and sister are keeping me in the dark on my shower specifics so I wanted something that would be easy to dress up or down. Lulus is hands down my number one destination for all things wedding, whether that be as the bride or as a guest. They have a great selection of white dresses including this shift dress that I can easily dress up or down for any type of bridal shower.

You’re getting married tomorrow and need the perfect look to make sure your partner has yet another reason why they are marrying you (at least that was my thought process when making my dress selection). BHLDN has an amazing selection of “Little White Dresses” that are perfect for this occasion. I went for this Mestiza dress that is beautifully feminine, but still sexy at the same time, and will be perfect for styling with heels for my rehearsal dinner and then adding to my honeymoon suitcase to pair with some sandals. If you are more of a pants type of gal, Because of Alice is the place to go. I have been eyeballing these wide leg trousers for myself for quite some time and may have to pull the trigger now that I have a reason to purchase white pants.

I can’t wait to see what some of my fellow brides wear for their wedding festivities. As someone who was never a huge fan of wearing white, bridal shopping has truly given me a new love for this neutral color. It is a great closet staple and will allow you to easily mix and match any of the tops, dresses or bottoms you select with existing things in your closet even after your big day.
